  • I have watched two films over my weekend off and coincidently both had scenes with Cigars.

First was The Jackal with Bruce Willis a remake of the Day of The Jackal which was not bad, this scene shows him lighting up and puffing away.

The second was Kingsmen with Colin Firth and Michael Cain, a modern take on a Spy/ Adventure film. Good action and not bad effects.

    • I've just watched Che Part 1, some serious cigar smoking in this film. I'm sure one of the guerrilla leaders had one a foot long.

      • The motorcycle diaries is a good movie

        • Watched 'The Riot Club' today.

Do we really believe that this still goes on? I can't see the likes of Cameron and Gideon smashing up the common
man's property and paying them off with daddy's cheque. I don't think they would have the balls to be this boyish.

A decent parody, but not brilliant.

          • A bit late but I eventually watched the Fast 7 the other day, as anticipated the usual mix of action and stunts with a nice tribute at the end to the actor Paul Walker who I think was killed while they were still filming the movie or at least before it was released.

            • Watched a few on my offshore trip.

Ex Machina - 8/10, very well made and very thought provoking.

Focus - 7/10, Will Smith being his usual charming self.

Get Hard - 5/10, usual Will Ferrell tripe.

Hot Tub Time Machine 2 - 6/10, some cheap laughs.

A Montage of Heck - 8/10, one of the best documentaries I've seen in a while, plus I'm a big Grunge fan.

I saw it last week and I'll be interested to hear what you think.

Quite a strange situation, most were well behaved.

                          • Took the lady wife to see Spy last weekend, its a James Bond spoof with Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law and Miranda Hart. I was to say the least very sceptical, but I must say it was very funny.

I was 7 when the 1st film was released so it started for me with Judgement Day in '91, which I loved. After that the next two were enjoyable.

This latest release is a good scifi action movie which takes the plot lines and twists them in to a complicated finale where it is all laid to rest... until the remake in 20 years

                              • Just watched The Purge: Anarchy. Somewhat far-fetched, but easy enough to watch with some interesting moments.
