    Here's a question from a friend...

Something very odd happened to me today while visiting a cigar shop in London. I found a box of Torpedo cigars looked inside and saw one had been cut. There was no indication that it was cheaper. I saw a lady that worked there and said to her, "pardon me, there is a cigar that is cut in this box" and was going to add, "is it discounted?" However before I could finish, she shrugged her shoulders and said, "oh well, it happens" then walked off.

I was going to buy a cigar and a Calibri Lighter from the store and simply strolled on out the door. Has anyone ever seen anything like this before in their favourite cigar store?

    Thoughts?

Well, nonchalance seems to have lost a sale for sure. :/

I'm pretty certain that would never happen in mysmokingshop or cgars.... Perhaps go to a better shop.

Might as well name them GH .... as they've obviously have so many wealthy customers they can afford to needlessly cut cigars, they wouldn't be interested in our business anyway.

Wouldn't surprise me .... she's got 'previous' for that sort of thing.

No he means the end was prepared for tasting .... and then put back .... a bit like a salesman having sex in the back of your new BMW before you take delivery .... and leaving behind the evidence.

OMG please tell me your kidding! Presumably had a suck of it then decided against smoking it back with all the other cigars. Saliva and germs and mega yuck! I can hardly think about it, that's so disgusting! Get the name up so we all know to avoid like the plague!

Probably a customer heading upstairs who changed their mind

Possibly .... but doesn't excuse the box or the attitude.

the attitude is the most disgusting thing here.

I'm glad they lost the sale, nothing annoys me more than the arrogance of some staff in high end shops. They have no idea who they are talking to anyway but even so every customer should be treated the same. It's a rookie mistake which reminds me of the Pretty Woman scene.
