If you fancy something a little unusual Marks and Spencer are doing a rhubarb and ginger cordial at the moment which is very good. Some of the young people I work with have never tasted rhubarb and some don't even know what it is. And don't get me started on gooseberries!

I love Rhubarb, wife hates it. So very rarely get to eat it.

M&S also do a really nice Ros? grape non alcoholic fizz.

As kids, we used to call them goosegogs.

I'm on a self-imposed booze-free run at the moment. Instead of sipping delicious English craft IPA's or big juicy cab sav's of an evening, i'm enjoying a glass of Belvoir Ginger Cordial or the Sanny P sparkling fruit cans mentioned above. Favourite at the moment is the Lime & Mint.

I've tried the chinnoto which has definitely got an 'adult' taste to it. I'm a big fan of the Negroni cocktail, in fact it's probably my aperitif/digestif of choice, (great to smoke with, particularly on a warm evening ) so the bitterness of chinnoto works for me. I've yet to try it with a smoke.

Tea for me most of the time. I find oolong the best match with cigars as it often is loaded with sweet notes.

I also had some good experiences with Japanese green teas but they usually don't last the whole cigar as you can only infuse them about 3 times, opposed to oolong which yields 6-10 infusions.

Recommendable are also herbal infusions mixed with Amacha (sweet herbal tea). Amacha can be sweeter than any Softdrinks, but without the sugar and more flavour.

I backpacked Vietnam: South to North once and in the five/six weeks we were there , I can't remember having a coffee It was back in '01/'02, so the memory fails, but you've peeked my interest now I must have had a couple I'm sure.

I do remember the green tea being very good though

Re 'soft' drinks and a cigar, full fat coke and Dr Pepper are two I like. Not mixed of course.

Pressed coffee on the hot beverage front for me. Probably Guatemalan.
