  • Smoking on a very empty stomach...

As of now, I'm on a mission to get back into training. The first step on this rocky road is to shift some flab - as a result I'll be fasting again, on and off. Or if not fasting, not permitted chocolate / coke etc....
So I'm wondering what the best sticks are for smoking when fasting?
So tummy will be VERY empty.
Only limits are - no infused etc sticks / and no skinnies (Nothing under 40).
Suggestions for appropriate smokes would be most welcome!

I fight semi professionally in MMA so I live a very healthy lifestyle. I know what it's like to get back on the training bandwagon as I have a very brief window of time to splurge when I am not fighting or off season. I would think that smoking cigars while training is not that bad regardless of what you smoke as you are not inhaling.

But fairplay for getting back into the lifestyle again. If you need any nutrition advice etc let me know as I am quite well versed on that

Something in the fonseca marca, although I really wouldn't recommend smoking on a empty stomach.

True, fewer things beetr than a good feed and a fine cigar afterwards

Fasting is no good what so ever. A good food intake is THE most important aspect of a healthy lifestyle.

Set your eating habits up right and reap the rewards for the rest of your life.

Except the 5:2 diet is proven to work and next month there will be a documentary on about the results of an Oxford University study into diets.

Like they prove all this other crap....

A regular balanced dietary intake is so very important.... Especially if your exercising.

Next you will tell me that abstinence from oxygen or defication is good for us.

Food is our fuel, and it's easy enough to figure out the equation if we think of it like a car.

                    Shit in = Shit Out.
Too much in and not enough exercise = A full tank.
Not enough in = Good luck finishing.
Enough good quality fuel for the journey your taking = Things will run nicely.

But hey, if you want to neglect yourself from the thing that controls your hormone levels and allows you to function well.... Then go for it. Good luck feeling like shit and then not binging out to give your body what it desperately requires.

My advice regardless of what any research says, from my own experience.

If your exercising then break your meals down to 5 smaller eating opportunities over the day.

If you don't exercise so much, have 3.

If you have a normal sleep cycle, E.g up at 6-9 and bed at 9-12 then dont eat after 8pm.

Eat leaner protein, Turkey, Kangaroo and Venison are great options.

Eat a variety of beans and pulses.

Cook your vegetables less (even raw) and leave the skin On where palatable.

Stack your meals so that your getting more carbs early and before activity and more protein late and after activity.

Eat slower and chew more, stop when your no longer hungry.

Experiment with flavour to keep things interesting.

STAY AWAY FROM PROCESSED THINGS IN PACKETS!

There is limited medical evidence on positive results from the 5/2 diet. This was a diet, afaik, 'created' by Michael Mosley after researching into fasting.
However, there are 10 years of peer reviewed medical human studies on the efficacy of alternate day fasting - the true feast or famine that we were built for.
This was the model that Mosley based his watered down 5/2 on, because he didn't think people could stomach (see what I did there?) doing it every day.

                      Anyway.....
I'm going to do what I'm going to do, even if people think I am stupid for doing it. That's fine and I have no problem with people disagreeing with me.
I do a lot of things that people think are stupid - sometimes because people think it's bad for me..... Like smoking, for example.
I'm not going to argue with anyone about diet. As that's not what this post is about.

The point of my original post was for you guys to help me figure out what sort of smokes I can have that aren't going to lay me on the floor with nic.
Not just because of fasting, that was just an example - sometimes my smoking window is early in the morning, when I haven't eaten anything cos it's too early.

So back to the matter in hand....

Sadly, I'm thinking cubans, as I can't think of many NCs that might not kill me...
ERDM an JLP are what I have so far in mind.
Would gladly add more to the list!
                      Any more suggestions for cigars?

And hurray! I have two of those! - What's the PDR?
I thought the ryj was strong?

The Romeo isn't strong and you can also buy the smaller size. I reviewed the PDR on Saturday, its in the review section.

The important thing is probably to take it slower than usual
