    That'll be fine.
    It'll burn off.

Inkas are shit.... No matter what you did, it would have been rubbish.

As far as the lighter goes, you should be able to get a cheap disposable jet from the cig counter at a decent supermarket. Or a local market. Or Wilcos. Or home bargains etc...

How long have you had your current lighter?
Anything less than a year, you should get in touch with them and ask then to sort it out.

I've followed it as best as I can. It told me to put half a coffee cup of sugar and 1/4 water into a sealed bag with the hygrometers. Whilst stirring it in the cup it was quite stodgy but when put it in the bag all the salt ran to the bottom and water stayed at the top of the salt..
I think all that salt business is over complicated, can't you just chuck them both in a sealed baggy or Tupperware with a 68% Boveda? Then you KNOW the humidity and can adjust them to that.

It does sound like your cigars are over humidified though. The lighter is probably just bad luck, CGars will replace it if you tell them I think. The cigars will need to go into a 69% environment to equalise before they smoke well, that can take quite a while. If you don't have the humidor set up and you have lots of cigars sitting at room humidity I suggest you buy a 12l Lock n Lock Tupperware box and some 69% Boveda pouches as an instant solutions to fool proof cigar storage.

A cigar should smoke and stay lit from a humi kept as high as 75? .... were you smoking outside .... atmospheric humidity today here is 91? and yesterday the temperature wasn't much above freezing, which together can play havoc with cigars.

Shame about the lighter (CGars should replace it), but I can light a cigar from one Swan Vesta during Summer, if you pop into Tesco they sell boxes of long matches which are more than adequate for light ups.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

I totally agree with Tommy's point. In this day and age we can reliably substitute the salt test for a boveda. I know I do.
I don't think the OP has one yet

I had a look at boveda packs on eBay but couldn't find any 68%, only 69%, will they do? How many do I need?

I have 1 cigar left which ive put in a Tupperware box, I have some more coming but they will be here Monday so hopefully I'll have the humidor set up by then.

I looked at about 10:30 and the digital read 71% and the analogue read 75%. Will check again when I get home in an hour.

I have a built in analogue one on the front of my desktop and it is all over the place. I just ignore it and read the digital one I got off c.gars

Okay well I've put it in the humidor with the distilled water solution stuff, put it in 20 mins ago and it's reading 59%. Will leave it for a bit before putting cigars in to see if it settles a bit higher.

I have tried something similar to this on an empty humidor and found without a bunch of cigars in there the readings are all over the place. Much easier to keep the humidity steady on a bunch of cigars than the air. Did you say you got some naff cigars? Lob em in to act as a buffer while it settles
