When you get the chance Google 'dry boxing cigars', it might help.

It won't be the lighter, once a cigar is in I rarely have to relight unless I leave it for too long. Or it has a serious burn issue.

            Taking as draw too often?

Only suggest this this is it was personal rookie mistake of mine. Remember having to light a Bolivar Royal Corona every single draw. I thought it was just the way it worked. Was close to not bothering anymore as thought smoking cigars was too much like hard work. Just checking your not taking a draw as you light are you? Sorry if i sound patronising but like I said these are mistakes I made and gave the same results.

Read somewhere, after I had had a few messed up attempts, that it should be a draw a minute and did used to actually sit with a stop watch to make sure I did this to start off with. Checked recently and its more like once 45 seconds but timing to a minute worked to train me.

Stick with this dude, please, I remember this part of the journey so vividly. Once your past this hurdle it is the single most relaxing and rewarding thing I have ever found

No I'm not taking a draw as I light it. Sometimes I'd take a draw, leave it for not even a minute then try again and it's gone out completely... I found I would have to take a draw every 15 seconds to get it to stay lit.

Fairly long, slow, not too hard draws.

Carefully feel along the length right up to were its lit. Should be safe if it keeps going out.

                      Hard or soft?

Softish but gets even softer about quarter of an inch away from the burning end.

Now that's surprised me. I thought you was going to say hard. I reckon from my own fucks that means blasting the lighter in the end too far and drawing too often.

Soft though never had that one. Anyone else or are we just back to humidity?

Whats that mean? I don't understand how I can drawing too soon as if I leave it for 45 seconds or so it's almost gone out, as I said earlier some times it had gone out completely before then..

I read somewhere about someone accidentally leaving his cigar in a leather carry case for a day and said it smoked much better and lit and stay lit much more evenly. Maybe worth a try?
