Thanks for the photos johnny those pike must of give you a nice scrap before you landed them
and that carp looks a beauty.
What did you catch the carp on boilies or floating baits
tell you what this carp fishing is getting very expensive with all the gear that goes with it.
Have you got the remote control boat that takes the bait exactly where you want it then just tips it over .

It's a lovely lake hardly fished in the middle of some sheep fields , but a bloody hard lake that weekend only had three out but totalled 61.5 .
Had quiet a few members from mid Kent down there and have all blanked .

That is a very nice Common. Well done on the capture. The Koi is a cracker too.
I actually managed to catch a 33lb 13oz Koi at the beginning of October last year. I still cannot get my head
around catching Koi when fishing. They are stunning fish though.

You are correct Joss. Fishing is such a relaxing sport. I can imagine smoking a nice cigar or two while I am bankside.

Mine was caught on boilie Tony, and yes it has become a very expensive game has carp fishing.
I do not have a baitboat anymore but I have owned one in the past. Some anglers class them as cheating.
It is probably the most controversial piece of kit used by anglers.

Fishing can get as complicated as you wish, it only seems expensive now because of all the marketing etc and firms like korda, in the end they're fish and its not rocket science , I've been fishing since I was 8 , my brother was more fanatical than me in our teens early twenties (beer and the furry cup for me ) and he caught his first 40lb mirror in the mid eighties when so called modern carp fishing was in its infancy regards hair rigs and bolies , boilies all home made on my mum's aga. I find the shame of modern fishing now is people watch it on tv but sadly don't learn to catch all types of fish and learn some fishing etiquette along the way . Amount of times I've sat on my own on a lake and some teat sets up near you crashing leads all over your swim without even coming over to ask where your fishing etc.....

I started in the late 80's fishing on the float and quiver tip rods Simon. I dabbled in all sorts of species but
eventually got pulled towards the specimen hunting. It is mostly carp now with the occasional trip to my local
river for a bash at the chub and barbel.
That pike looks like a fairly long fish too. That is a nice looking carp also.
Absolutely loving the boat.

Been sea fishing for over 50 years on and off, mostly Lures for Bass in summer now, winter is too cold, will be Barracuda and Mullett bashing in Cala n Bosch marina this summer for 3 weeks.
Also cast in competitions

That sounds great jabba. My only experience of scuba diving was on Menorca. We were at Cala'n Forcat. A beautiful island.
Have you had much success with your sea fishing? Sea Bass is my favourite eating fish. I love it.
