  • Smoking in the wind

Is smoking when it's windy possible?
Or is it just too bloody difficult to bother?
I am highly, highly stressed at the moment. I can't have alcohol or sleep and am currently being deprived of smokes too.
I might be able to sneak one in out the back door - but the problem is it's excessively windy as the back is very open.
So - how can I do it?
    Help me!

Turn your back to the wind or is it a lazy wind?

Sadly it's a bloody everywhere wind. The rear of the house is exposed and the countryside around is totally flat.
I will be mostly inside, whilst the cigar will be staying outside. I may have to build it a little shelter or something..

Surely there must be one wall to hide behind if it's detached

I can't - I have to be at the back door so I can still hear my daughter if she needs me.... Which is pretty inevitable..

The only thing I can think of is to use a large umbrella
and shield yourself against the wind

A portable baby monitor? One of them ones that are like walkie talkies

We actually already use walkie talkies - but I have to be at the back door or it takes me too long to get to her..
It's actually working quite well tbh..

A cheap windscreen like you see on the beach?

In the end.... I went with this...
                          uploadfromtaptalk1424896520634.jpg
Windproof vest top attached to the chair, cardboard and an open side to let the smoke out.. Worked well enough!
Not the most relaxing smoke I've ever had, but F me I needed it!

Bad weather spoils cigars! I find smoking in the wind very frustrating.
