  • The Best Of the Essential Cubans

    Hello gents,

Not sure if this has been covered, at least not from this angle - but I couldn't find it.

I'm asking for your opinions on what are the absolute best of the essential Cuban cigars, i.e., those that every Cuban cigar fan should try, at least once, and that have kept quality and flavor consistency over the years. I'd exclude LE cigars because, well, they're LEs.

I've been trying to write them down for myself, to make sure I get to try all of them at some point, and so far I've come up with this:

    - Cohiba Esplendidos
    - Cohiba Robustos
    - Cohiba Siglo VI
    - H. Upmann Magnum 50
    - Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2
    - Montecristo Edmundo
    - Montecristo No. 2
    - Partagas Lusitanias
    - Partagas D4
    - Romeo y Julieta Churchill

Would you agree with the ones on this short list? What would you add and/or remove?

    Cheers.
    David

Great thread. Something I can get a lot of advice from.
I am OK with everything posted so far, but not sure about this one:

Very nice selection and I agree with the others about the Sir Winston but I would also add:

                              - Sancho Panza Belicosos
                              - Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Especial
                              - Hoyo de Monterrey Churchill (with a few years of age I prefer these to the Esplendidos)
