Aguardente CR&F once again. You guys really should try some of this, IMO it pairs even better with cigars then most single malts.

Aguardente is a beverage made in Portugal that is distilled from wine, similarly to cognac, but with a very different flavor. It almost always ages for long periods of time in oak barrels, making it a very smooth drink, usually with considerable sweetness, in comparison to whisky or cognac.

The Aguardente from Lourinhā is actually one of the three demarcated regions in the world for producing wine based spirits like this, the other two being Cognac and Armagnac, both in France.

Anyway, one of my favorite everyday drinks is CR&F Reserva Aguardente, which is absolutely delicious and can be bought for around 15? - the best value for money on any distilled beverage IMHO.

Thanks, sounds like Id like that, Im into sweet spirits. Are you a port/sherry/desert wine drinker? Can highly recommend Pedro Ximinez Sherry.. Theres nothing like it. Thick and black like treacle almost, tastes of honey/dates and is awesome after a meal instead of a desert.

PX and Ozzy Muscat are my two favourite sweet fortifieds. Oh and Ozzy Sticky Shiraz if you can find it.

I'm generally not a fan of very sweet drinks, unless there's something to balance the sweetness. Port and Sherry are two drinks that give me that balance, which makes them great before or after dinner drinks for me. Oh and BTW, how could I not like Port wine? Have you seen where I'm from?

It's Kraken Black Spiced Rum with freshly squeezed lime juice & ginger beer over ice, aka Dark 'n' Stormy.
