Welcome along - I agree you need to try more Cubans

I'm not a fan of RyJ generally (except the actual Churchill sized Churchill), but there is plenty of variety out there Bolivar and Ramon Allones are particular favourites of mine

Hi madgaz! Being a reformed cigarette smoker myself, as are many of us , I reckon you'll fit in fine round here.

Welcome. My first few Cubans were Hoyo de monterrey's. Highly recommended.

                    Thanks for all the welcomes.
Not sure why I didn't like the RyJ. I've not ruled it out completely, I guess the smoking conditions out on my decking weren't ideal (I'm quite high up on a hill side and get hit by the wind).
I had the Jose last night, not bad.
I'm sat here with my Partagas as we speak and very much enjoying it. I quite like the squared shape too, oddly.
The Wife picked me up a couple of ales yesterday. Rum flavoured and bourbon flavoured.
They all added to the experience I guess.

Just picked up another Gran Corona (because I know it wasn't offensive to smoke), and also a La Invicta Petite Corona.
Unfortunately, being so new to this, I'm relying at the minute on local shops which sell more than Hamlets and Wintermans (of which there are very few).

I have 3 nights of peace and quiet this week, the Wife and 3 Boys are away with the Father-In-Law, so I'm going to make some time to relax

I'm late to the party on this one! Now then bud!
Whereabouts are you - and which are your local cigar shops?
I noticed in the gun thread you're a shooter too - do you use a local club at all?
I have a sneaking suspicion I may be near to you......

I live on the Halifax/Bradford border.
Only shops worth visiting (that I'm aware of) are Barber's in Otley and Green's in Leeds.
There's Shoesmith's in Halifax and Anwarsans in Brighouse that have some in.
Shooting wise, I nip into Halifax Air Rifle Club occasionally and my old man has a permission in Selby which I tag along to.
