I would love to put up a four ball voucher for my golf club, Haddington Golf Club, East Lothian Scotland. I know it might not be much good to the majority of members down south but I'll throw in a couple of sticks too, cigars not golf clubs . Please let me know when and where to send to and how I buy some tickets.

Great support from Mitch and Cgars.

Can someone PM me an address for me to send some sticks?

Keep hold of them Dean, i think we decided that in general donators would send direct to winners.

Due to the logistics of the CGars donation it was just better to have them sent out and I will sort the posting of them.

If everyone is happy to declare this a wrap on donations and we can start moving on with getting the thing up and running.

I still need to photo a few things and were basically ready. I reckon we have a pretty good prize pool.

I think we should decide as a community how we want to do this. Obviously there will be a new thread once we have decided on rules etc. Hopefully a couple member who wanted to take part that didnt have PM rights a few weeks ago should be about there now.

I like Monkeys idea of individual bids and I think this would work for high ticket items... But dont think it would for the lower ticket items.

I personally think we would be best served having a traditional raffle with ?5 entry per ticket, buy as many or as few tickets as you like. Buy them as gifts for other members, buy them for your friends, family and neighbours.

Obviously as far as UKCF is concerned a PM activated member is the "official" owner of the ticket due to the logistics of arranging postage and payment within the rules of the site.

This way everyone gets a shot at winning anything on offer.

        What do others think?

How will we avoid donors winning their own lots and who will draw this? It needs to be very transparent.

Can the system be named as it's purchasing tickets, not anything else?

I think its the nature of the forum and the prizes that forbids it Andy

I like the traditional raffle idea, a group of prizes on offer, buy the number of tickets you desire then a drawing is made.

I agree PJ, it will need to be transparent. And on that basis I think the draw should be done with a number of member's present where possible.

If a donor is drawn for their own prize then we could have pre chosen prize alternatives at random to cover that possibility.

My two peneth. Happy to abide by the concensus view. Liked the idea of bids as it could raise more but a raffle prob easier.... Happy that the draw be done by a group of members, however many/ few is best feasible!

fiver a punt seems reasonable... Means i'll prob chuck in a few more than if they were a tenner... Roughly twice as many

will PM some one about the thing of which we dare not speak.....
