• Cigar related Wedding Ideas

So I'm getting married in the summer and wedding plans need a kick start, anyone got any Tips or ideas for the compulsory cigar content.

my plan thus far is to have the Gents handed and Cigar and the Ladies a rose as they walk from the ceremony room to the dining room (A La the Tropicana Club experience). And then an afternoon herf with the Gents on the patio with some light jazz from the entertainer..... But then I wondered, are there any rollers in the UK that cover weddings etc....

That's a lovely idea. Some guys might not be up for the smoke though? Something light might be best suited like a smallish cigar from the Hoyo brand? Or for a bigger stick, still mildish you could go Romeo Juliet Wide Churchill. The latter would have real visual impact. Lovely sized vitola.
all the best whatever you decide!

I went to a wedding last June where the hosts put out baskets of CAO Chicos then when I was sitting outside enjoying a smoke had to put with a load of drunk kids giving a cigar smoking lesson which ended in them stubbing them out on the hotel's wooden outdoor table tops. Think carefully before handing them out like sweeties, its a waste of money.

I'm with PeeJay - I will be doing something similar in June.

As Simon said ([emoji851]) some may not want one, so if they take it and take home, it may just get binned.

Then you have the issue with people who take one and really don't like or appreciate it.

I am going to get married in June (in Cuba) and at the party, when we get home, will have a box of Quintero, very cheap but I like them a lot. If people want to take one and it goes in the bin, at ?2 a stick that's fine by me.

I will also have a reserve of something else, if people do like cigars and do want a full smoke, then by all means they can have one.

It's not about being stingy, but unless your seriously minted, you could blow 100's ? on cigars that don't get appreciated...

It's a nice idea though...

Aye Aye Anz..
A year or so back I was at the top table of a wedding party and took along a couple of boxes of Trinidad Coloniales .. Nice smooth medium smoke and great size .. Went down well with the Guys and the Girls.

Maybe just sort for you, best man, grooms men, father in laws accordingly and have a get together at some point. The time at weddings goes very quickly, especially for the bride and groom. After meeting, greeting, photos, dancing, it can be hard to get a quiet hour or two, as the day/night has gone so quick for yous. That's how it was at my wedding

Thanks all, yes they will be cheap sticks and not even necessarily cuban as there will be a few that simply won't partake and the rest probably won't appreciate a more expensive choice.

As for time, I'm needing to find fillers, we've got a long day as we're getting married unusually early I'm told.

be careful, even a Castella needs 20 minutes to smoke , and as we have all heard " where have you been" even a small hand rolled needs half an hour to smoke
think lucky and you'll be lucky

Wedding cigars are great idea even for ladies, well you can make it optional no obligatory, plus wedding you know, if you get people drunk enough they will smoke anything at least try Do not want to sound very suggestive but in fact this one my ideas to roll cigars for special occasions here in the UK. I think 1st bunch will be done in April as a test to see how it goes

Thanks for that. Some nice ideas. Though my eyes nearly popped out of my head at the Siglo VI until I saw it was only for the Groom, Best Man and Father of the Bride!

The culebras was a good idea. That should be made a compulsory tradition from now on.

Im getting married on Friday.

25 JLP and 50 PL PC. I anticipate the 50 cab having at least 40 left so should keep me in anniversary smokes all the way up to my 70's if i live that long.
