The Drink Shop is usually difficult to beat. They also stock the 15yo Gran Reserva. (That's about 40-45 years worth of aging in Scotch terms... )

      I wouldn't mind trying the 15yo

The 7yo is, unsurprisingly, twice as much as in Cuba. I wish I'd bought more when I was there.

Ooh, just come across it for under ?20 on anybooze.com, can't vouch for the vendor though. Still, I think it's usually a few quid more in the supermarkets.

Pusser's Red Label - the Pusser's for drinking neat or over ice. Same great flavours as the Blue Label, but less of the kick of the 54.5%ABV version. Great thing about Pusser's (apart from the taste) is that they give money from every sale to the Royal Navy Sailors' Fund. Is this the world's only charity run? Sorry, charity rum...

Lagavulin 16yr old is my tipple of choice at the moment. A real smooth malt.

Great to have with a cigar.

If it were me Cohiba Fan I would plump for the Dalmore 12 Year Old. With the Rum have you thought about the Ron Zacapa 23 Anos Solera Rum, honestly its one of the best Rums I ever tasted - just a thought...!!!

                        Does this count?

I'd have to say the old lady in the library from the first ghostbusters film!

                          :groan: ...

Would be interested to hear your thoughts on Pussers Red Cohiba Fan. I think it's really quite nice (as I say, doesn't have the edge of the Blue, so can be drunk neat). It seems to be very uncommon though, so few people I've found that have tried it - plenty on the Blue though in Plymouth.

The Ron Zacapa is DEFINITELY the next rum I purchase!

I stopped at 3 different places looking for the Dalmore today (Morissons, Bargain Booze, Threshers) and none of them sell it. I kind of expected as much, but they did all sell the Laphroaig Quarter Cask.

Look's like I'll have to order some unless anyone knows of a retailer who stocks it?
