Can't upload a photo for some reason. Anyhow I had a lovely, creamy HDM epicure especial in the shed earlier. It was quite mild and sunny around midday here and I had a blissful hour and a quarter with it, a caramel nespresso and then a full fat coke. The wind is bitter here now so I'm glad I caught the weather earlier.

image.jpgFirst cigar posted on here for a while. I've gone for one of my limited selection of aged sticks: a San Cristobal El Morro, dated Sep 01. It's absolutely gorgeous. Light, creamy, occasionally a bit peppery on the tongue further in, and a wonderful Cuban cigar aroma. One of those cigars which reminds you how fine this past time can be.

And very nice it was too!
White pepper & an earthiness throughout the first third, which faded away to give dried fruit & a hint of white chocolate.
A very enjoyable smoke, thanks to PeeJay for sourcing

Hoyo des Dieux - by far my favorite HdM so far, but still nowhere near a great smoke, for me:

Cigar of the month tonight and my first pyramid since my honeymoon in 2013! A lovely smoke, very smooth, great draw, started off a little peppery and really mellowed as it burnt. No idea!

I'll wager a Monty of some sort, based on my limited experience. Thanks to PeeJay for arranging. I've another which I'll leave to age for a while and look forward to sometime in the future.
