    * Peterson - Jekyll & Hyde Collection
    * Peterson - Iceberg Collection
    * Rattrays - Old Gowrie
    * Jolly Roger

    Would any of the pipes from the above ranges be a good choice as a step up from the cob ?
    Thanks
    Scooby, tbh mate it doesn't really matter which one you go for, although imo Italian artisan pipes are some of the best in the world, anyway I digress, the point is once pipe acquisition disorder, P. A. D sets in you'll have a large collection of pipes anyway

        Thanks to everyone for the advice. I do like my cob, I just wanted to see how a traditional pipe compares.
        I've been browsing a few sites but I don't think i've seen or heard of the Italian artisan pipes... Where abouts can these be found? I'll have a look

                        Moi?! Good shout BS

                        I have seen these. There is a small number of makers out there (not identical, but of a similar style) and I do wonder how you'd clean the bloody stem! You can get the church warden style cleaners and perhaps they'd be the go.

                          Great selection of pipe tobaccos. Looking forward to reading your reviews on these tobaccos when you have tried them.

                            My friend has the bent stubby stem and apparently it is very easy to clean, warm water and a standard pipe cleaner. I imagine for the tall bent stem you would be right
