So I decided to try these out today after my surprise with the previous cigar I reviewed I was curious to see how this panned out, as typically when trying out new NC brands it can be hit and miss.

On the pre light the cigar actually has a very nice hay smell along with the usual tobacco smell, being a small cigar ring gauge of 30 it cut well and on the burn was nice and even. Now on to the smoking of this cigar, disappointing would be the word that comes to mind. On the inhale your mouth is filled with a fair amount of smoke that has medium tobacco taste and on the exhale an ever so slight straw hay taste that is promising.

Sadly this never develops and the flavour doesn't become any more complex as cigars go by no means the worst, just somewhat bland the last few NC I have smoked (disregarding the Petit Vanilla Corona) were flavourful and developed as the smoke went on, and its a given that very few NC will ever be massively complex.

This was just bland, again an OK smoke but not worth the price a tin of ten is around 29.99 they are handmade and so promise so much however in my case they didn't live up to it. End of the month I will be purchasing some Davidoff Winston Churchill New Lancaster Cigars (since they relaunched the brand) and also some Juan Lopez petit coronas (which of course are Cuban, the first Cubans I have bought in nearly a year now)
I never smoke to excess - that is, I smoke in moderation, only one cigar at a time.- Mark Twain

Sorry to hear you didn't get on well with the juliany. Wasn't impressed with those myself. However I absolutely hated the winston lancasters I had(before the rebrand). The Juan Lopez on the other hand is in a different league entirely. Brilliant smoke and the best vitola in the JL line imo.

Still a great review even though you did not get on with it.
