I purged the Bolivar Coronas Junior I had last night just after the halfway mark - amazing the difference in taste afterwards! Really took the hot, peppery edge off it and softened the flavours immensely, making them slightly sweeter.

I purge almost every cigar especially the bigger RG ones or if I've let it go out.

Agreed Stevie, usually around the time it gets just above the bsnd &itsvheating up, can turn bitter if you don't.
