These sounded great until people pointed out the price difference/markup. It sounds more like it's worth waiting for a holiday (or a generous friend on holiday) to pick up some proper branded sticks for a cheaper price

To be fair to the retailer, ?1.96 is duty and a further 80p is VAT so there maybe making ?2 to cover all the other costs that they've incoured (transport, card fees, staff and all the other overheads)

The real piss take is the high end Esplendido for example ?17.50 + ?2.20 in duty + ?5 in vat = ?24.7 rather than ?35 for the uk price

I believe its Hunters & Frankau you can thank for that. They must be making an absolute killing and people believe the 'EMS' marketing ploy.

K, I just called the shop to double check if Cuban. Guy I spoke with said he, 'believed so'. Asked him what that meant, 'well I don't get too involved, our main business is selling cigars and this is just an offshoot but I have been told they are Cuban tobacco.'

Long story short, guy on the phone couldn't really be arsed to answer the question. What a strange way to run a shop.
