  • Sorrento Cigar Shop

    Hi all,
Just got back from a two week cruise with my parents (still a student so I take all the holidays I can get ) and on the very last stop after looking out for Habanos shops countless times I found a great little one unknown to myself. It's on the main street coming off the central piazza in Sorrento. I can't remember the name of it unfortunately but it had the words cigar corner written on the shop front and it certainly wasn't wrong! It was a newspaper shop basically, selling all manner of touristy objects, but in the middle had a surprisingly decent sized humidor. Inside it was a great selection of new/old cigars, they were laid out all higgledy-piggledy so it felt like you were discovering something new when you trawled through the boxes. From memory it had Upmanns, Cohiba Siglo VI & Robustos, Partagas, Quinteros, Trinidads etc. But in the end I plumped for a Ramon Allones Club Allones 2015 LE, I'm yet to try this one so I'm keen to see if it lives up to the hype or not!

Just thought I'd let everyone know about the shop in case you're ever in the Sorrento area.

    Cheers,
    Matt.

P.S. Capri is amazing, if you get the chance to go I'd definitely do it. It's a busy day but the views and shops are both brilliant; take the bus to Anacapri, that's a very memorable experience haha!

    Happy smoking!!

Good photo but one cigar?! Obviously a very poor student.

I'm slightly gutted - was in Sorrento a couple of months ago, but because I was on a fly by I never got time to explore. Would have loved to have seen this! Will bank it for next time - cheers

Unfortunately I am indeed PeeJay, I break the mould of most cigar smokers, I can't afford more than a couple of sticks whenever I get the chance to go to a decent shop. I rely solely on knowledge I've gathered from hours of reading reviews to decide what to buy. There is of course a Poor Student Cigar Fund for those who would wish to donate to it...

Unlucky TJ, maybe next time you're there you'll get chance to pop in, nice guy who served me as well. He seemed to know what he was on about.

my mate who just came back from there was looking for a place

Looks like a nice shop and well stocked.

Have you organise your graduation smoke...might as well buy one to keep to age for a few years.

I haven't got one ready yet but I'm thinking about keeping one of my Siglo VI's in my humi. Either that or a Ramon Allones 225 H&F

                    Found it....

Tabaccheria Miccio - lots of great single selection but unfortunately no REs or LEs in sight which I was after. Still a great shop if after a few singles.
