I wish I had the cajones to pull off a churchwarden.

(this sentence reads significantly ruder than I intended)

Thanks for the recommendation - I'll seek it out!

Re the J F Germains, Pondering Moose, yeah - I'd have it as dark dried fruit and cinnamon.

Don't see whats stopping you, you can get a macqueen one from GQ I think for half price this month, worth checking out
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment as you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it!

I do have a slightly wizardly beard, and a hat, maybe I should get a church warden. It could be carried around in one of those cases that either has a flute or a pool cue in it. Just imagine opening that and producing one pipe to rule them all.

Hmm, I feel a case of the pipe acquisition disorder coming on, and probably TAD too, as I'd need something to put in it, maybe the plum cake. It'd be worth the risk of a bit of ghosting to sit there looking wise basically smoking cake.

I too would deeply love a churchwarden. ... There is something in me that would be deeply satisfied to be rocking the dual Gandalf / jeremy brett Sherlock Holmes vibe....

Since my last post in this thread, I've acquired a church warden - it's very much worth it, and a pleasant cool smoke too.

I thoroughly recommend getting one, not even for looks. Though you could get one with the vaguely calabash shaped end to enhance the Jeremy Brett angle!
