Whisky - how do you like it?

Haven't seen a poll on here for a while, but seeing the variety of drinks (especially whiskies) with the "what are you smoking today" threads has made me curious about how everyone here drinks their whisky.

Personally I like it with a touch of water.

Interested to see if anyone has any interesting ways of drinking/serving

Same as Decky, usually more water if it's cask strength. And I prefer my whisky without an e in it.

I was once told by someone with knowledge of such things that the only thing you should ask for with whisky is "more whisky".

That said I do agree that a small glass of good still water can open up flavour and is helpful with cask strength, as McDee points out. I would also concur that generally I prefer it with no "e" as well. ;-)

I find I just cant drink it neat, I often wonder why that is, the burn in my mouth means I cant taste anything.
