  • RyJ Cedros - how complex they are?

    Hi folks.

Would you class Cedros no 3 as complex smoke? Having one just now and although I can detect hints of different flavours, I am unable to define them anyhow. Is it just me?

Had a box of the #1 & they were subtle. The #3 is the most popular but 1,2 or 3 aren't known to be anything special.

Like a lot of people RyJ were the cigars I started buying first, and to be honest I'm still fond of them, particularly the short and wide Churchills and I'm still partial to a Cedros, particularly the number 3, it's not necessarily complex, but a smooth smoke with subtle undertones of flavours.

In short no, I don't think they are complex... [emoji4]

I'm guessing you're smoking a Cedros de Luxe No 3 with a red band and that it is reasonably young. I have some myself and am reasonably confident that these will/should improve in complexity.

However, some of my confidence is based around my much older green banded CdL3s, It would be nice if the blend and tobacco quality is exactly the same in the newer version .... time will tell. But don't let that put you off, you can only smoke what you can get.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!
