Calling all Geeks! (Such as Deano; cigarmo)

I need a portable wireless storage HD for storing 4K video. What would you suggest?

Any thoughts on an WD My Passport Wireless HD (not the new Pro, but the prior version)? Some say its slow Transferring files though the Micro SD slot.

Thanks, Amigos!

What do you want to do with it? Take a look at the samsung range.

When I set up my original music server, I used a NAS from Buffalo Technologies.
They were rated very high at the time. They may be worth considering now.

What do you actually need to do? Transfering 4k files over the internet to as remote server would take a long time unless you have a great upload and download.
Qnap have created this portable nas (QGenie) which could work for you....however it's limited to only 32gb which in 4k terms isn't much.

Still on the Fence.

Thanks for the responses, guys.

What do I want to use it for? Mostly store 4K video in the field. Thus, I need tons of storage - 1 or 2 TBs. The internet feature is nice for other things, but I plan to transfer that data via a Micro SD port, which is what I find attractive about the WD My Passport Pro wireless. It gets pretty good reviews, especially over the prior model, but there are some haters. And it's a HD; not SSD, but this is not a deal breaker.

Anyway, I'm on the fence. I may just get more micro cards for additional storage, but then I loose the benefit of a back up.

Take a read of this....if you are after storage space the wd pro is the best one as it comes in several sizes

Need a backup option or just more space? Here are our top picks for the best external hard drives and SSDs.

Waiting for SSD!

Thanks, se?or Shamz84. I looked at CNET review on both the pro and the prior version. I agree, the pro is a much improved version over the previous one.

At this point, however, I will likely just buy a few extra 64GB micro cards and wait until they come out with a SSD version.
