  • Today's Purchases...

Here are todays purchases, sadly no humidor to put them in (yet) popped to Casa Del Habano Teddington (I live 10 mins walk from the shop)

The first proper Cuban I smoked was the R&J Casa edition and really enjoyed it so wanted to try it gain. I'd read good things about the Hoyos especially the Epicure No 2. The Por Laranga I had from a previous visit and havent smoked yet.
Hoping the weather and my cold clears up so I can sample at least one this weekend!

Nice. Enjoy them. But I would let the PLPC rest a little while, they become really good with some age on them.

How long would you recommend? bare in mind I have no humidor .... I just keep them in sealable plastic bags and in the shops sleeves.

+1 on the PLPC being great with a bit of age, pure smokeable caramel a flavour profile like no other that I can recall.

Hmmm sounds like once I have a humidor I should stick a few PL's in there and let them sit for a while

The caramel takes about 5 years to come through

Thats some serious discipline to wait 5 years...

Wow I could type for toffee there!

I just got a boveda bag for my sticks to see me through till I get a humidor (which I maybe have now found) so I may give the Por Larranga some time to age
