  • Making Time

How do you all make time to smoke? I came back to cigars after 12 months off after my TIA. So I spent a couple of busy months on here buying up 3 and 5 ers to fill the humi. It's 3/4 full now, I had a good couple of smokes but now I sturggle to find/make time to smoke anymore.
We went camping on Exmoor a few weeks ago, I managed to take a nice stack of sticks with me but didn't make time to smoke 1 of them.
I seem to of lost my mojo for cigars. Does anyone else have this issue? How do I get my mojo back?

Well I am not a 'tricyclist' but I know a trick or two... I wouldn't be surprised, given your disclosed medical history, if subconsciously at least your mind is asking, 'is it really worth it?' And only you can answer that. As you have discovered there's a lot more to life than cigars: enjoying life to the full, camping & spending time with friends & family would be right up there. I guess if you keep the cigars you have & carry one with you on times when you think you might enjoy one (like sitting around a camp fire, watching a pleasant sunset) then one day you may have the urge to seize that moment again. And then you might find that old adage - less is more suits you i.e. fewer smokes but really appreciating each one.

      Hi Mark.

It's all about just that! Making the time! I know once I've lit up there's an hour of peace and tranquility at least.

Got to make time to chill. To move. To eat well. To sleep [emoji932][emoji99]

I don't get time to relax during the day time. So evenings it is. And sometime those around you should respect that.

TBH the forum helps! So thanks guys [emoji14]

            Nothing to be alarmed about.

Like any past time or hobby, the art of enjoying a fine puros comes and goes from time to time. Nothing to fret about, amigo.

Sometimes I feel like a nut, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I feel like enjoying a fine puro and other times nothing but a pipe filled with my finest will do. And occasionally, none of these activities tickles me fancy. It comes and goes.

Thanks for the wise words. I have a day off tomorrow so will be home alone. I think I'll make time tomorrow and try a smaller cigar to try and get my mojo back.

How ironic, my last post has me promoted to 3 cigar status. As I've not smoked in a couple of months now, so the extra cigar on my status amused me.

...or perhaps its a sign that Bot Boy (aka, BB the Bot) is still lurking about in the UKCF data systems!!!

Rats! I thought we got rid of that little bug-ger eons ago.

Note to [MENTION=1]Deano[/MENTION]: PLEASE do a thorough virus/malware/spyware sweep of the UKCF platform?

Well today was supposed to be a day off. But.... as I'm the H&S co-ord for a charity I get called in today. One of the staff has managed to get a needlestick injury, so I get to go in and conduct an mini investigation.
So another day of no cigars. So so ready for a stick today. Oh well, always tomorrow

Unfortunate that you didn't get to smoke a stick because for a 'stick injury. As a Medic/Safety chap, when you're doing the investigation, check out what equipment they have & what better protected equipment you could order instead. I had a few injuries myself in the distant past so I know how easy it used to be but with the latest needles, with guards ect, it shouldn't really happen any more. Paying a little more for the equipment should be easily justified on savings from potential pay out to staff in the future.

Often it's the staff, not the equipment that's the problem!
