• Trip to Bruges

Next month I am going over to Bruges for a night via the Eurotunnel with SWMBO, primarily to buy some booze for our daughters 21st Birthday which is on the 1st December. Just booked a hotel that was recommended on Expedia - Martins Bruges and have only now found, after booking that according to google maps it is exactly halfway between Jerry's Bar and La Casa del Tobaco Bruges - 260m on foot to each! How am I going to persuade her that this is a genuine coincidence?

The same way that I persuaded my wife that it was purely coincidence that our hotel in NYC was five minutes walk from Nat Shermans

Hi Moteyi, if you let me know when you're over I could pop down & show you around, I am just a train ride away.

That is very generous Simon Bolivar. When I know a bit more about the agenda I'll be in touch.

Quick one - how did you find both these places? both worth a visit? I'm off for a weekend trip in December and plan to bring home some stock at hopefully cheaper prices!

In the end I didn't go to either. I went instead to Missault on Simons recommendation and wasn't disappointed with the reception from Christophe the manager who is very knowledgeable. I would suggest you do your homework before going on prices - in my limited experience they are cheaper than the UK but not cheap.

Agree, cheaper but not cheap but you can find some interesting stuff & Christophe often has some aged stock tucked away. Drop me a pm before you go & I might be able to join you there for the day.
