thank you all, I certainly am getting the NC bug, which was my goal for this year whilst I let the majority of my Cubans age. Also, I’m excited to be trying the different smokes, which bring a whole new range of flavours that you do not find in a Cuban!
Looking good. Never tried those. But when the Edmundo is good they are a lovely smoke so these should be pretty similar I guess.
Thanks, Mike! I find that with most Monte’s - when they’re on they blow your buds off, but when they’re not they’re utter dross, no real middle of the road with them! These smell and look great, so I’m hoping my buds are in for a pleasant shock...

I completely agree with you Greg. That's why I have a love and hate releatioship with Montes. I also find that they need 4 or 5 years down.
Beautiful smoke. Love them. Apparently you've never ever to buy them blind as there are some stinkers out there.

Precisely, I hit upon a 25’er box code 11 at 11 price in Italy last summer. Didn’t buy because I was too exhilarated by the two boxes of la Escepcion, but damn I should have bought that box too.

I hardly smoke any montes but I had two double edmundos soon after the release with very different wrappers. One was really crap one dimensional and bland, the other was an absolute beauty. The wrapper on the beauty was very similar to yours, hopefully you're in for a treat.

I had an awful feeling you were going to say the crap one looked like my wrappers haha ��! Thank you, it was worth the risk I think, I just adore the monte profile when it’s ‘on’!

Haha no, the crappy one looked like dried out parchment. I think that's why I don't bother with Montes: that one cigar is my only really amazing experience with the brand.
