  • Hi

    Hello

Been off the cigars for a few years but decided to revisit the world of cigars. Just dug the humidor out and picked up a couple of sticks.
I used to smoke Jose L. Piedra and monticristo No5 as a regular smoke, but think I'll be more of an occasional so looking to try some new cigars, so joined here to find out what others are currently enjoying

    Jeff

Welcome. I've just bankrupt myself stocking up floor winter. Getting organised for the summer.

There's a lounge near work where I can sample inside. But it's done or triple the cost... = More bankruptcy lol

Yep just trying to hold out for a week or two, can't see it happening though. I've got a solitary mont 5 in the humidor and it looks, well... empty.
Thanks for the recommendations not tried a partagas yet but they are well up on my list to try, alone with the petite No2 which look interesting, and really enjoyed the petite edmundo.

If you have only just dug your humidor out, it will almost certainly need conditioning - have a search on here for how to set up a humidor. Also, AFAIK, a humidor needs to be relatively full to work properly. If you only have a few cigars then maybe get a small clip lock container and a 65% boveda pack.

If I may assist. You can't leave one stick in a humidor. The airspace makes humidity difficult to maintain. The only solution is to fill it...

(If ever you needed an excuse...) :P

Welcome Jeff. I'd always recommend a Juan Lopez Nr 2 if you've never had one. Great flavoured cigar and enjoyed by a lot of smokers.

It gets better, an excuse to smoke my solitary stick tonight, and read more on humidors, to make sure I've done it right.
I was thinking to buy singles and experiment a little but maybe I should buy a box to fill the humidor with something I know.
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll put them all on my list to try. Looking forward to them.
