Deano Hope your move went smoother than ours is going. 15 weeks in from offer being accepted and someone lower down the chain is still awaiting a mortgage offer to be issued. Frustrating doesn't come close

Mark3142 very smooth but as you say, the delays are always the issue - especially with the chain. Seems to take forever.

10 days later and we're still no further forward. People buying into the chain are first time buyers and their solicitors are pants. They seem to be dodging calls from everyone, even their own clients. Hopefully the last piece of paperwork required was sentout on THurs, just gone. So once thats in we can start thinking about moving. Then comes the next issue. People buying our house are away Mon,Tues,Wed this week, home for Thurs + Fri. Then away out of the country until the 20th. So our window of moving is small and getting smaller by the day.

I would love to get a room. It's just taking so much longer than I thought it would. When we last purchased a house, (8 yrs ago) it went through without a hitch, and took 12 weeks. This time, there are issues at every turn, we viewed the house in Feb and put an offer in straight away and had it accepted. And now at the end of July we are still not really any further forward. But I'm hopeful that the coming week will show results

I feel your pain! We're in the process of moving and though it hasn't taken quite as long as yours, it's been a long and painful process. I'm not bloody moving again after this!
