Ha, Aberdeen is the busiest Heliport in the world! In fact I'll be getting on one on Thursday, to go off for another 3 week trip offshore. Been doing it for 28yrs now & there have been some bad accidents during that time but a lot of safety improvements too. You will see them going over the city centre but you get used to that deep throb, throb after a while.

For those considering the distance, time, expense & hassle of getting way up to the capital of the Highlands, I'd just say Wigan & McDee are fabulous hosts, great C.A.'s & know how to give a chap a grand evening. There was a time I could teach these two a thing or two but now I am learning from them. If only my dates didn't always seem to clash I'd attend every herf in Aberdeen.

I just spent a very pleasant evening with them both last Thurs & instead of smoking on my own & in the cold, I now have two fine friends & fellow BOTL to share the nights I spend passing through the old & grey city. I can only say I wish we'd met before but at least it was this group that bought us together. I look fwd to hearing the stories & seeing the pics of the next planned event.

Totally agree Simon. Aberdeen is a great place. CASC is excellent. The lads are top notch.
