I've never seen a ribbon in a standard dress box. So whats classed as a quality box? Certainly the SLB LE I've seen dont have anything so cannot be quality

Lightly tapping the underside of the box tends to work them loose.
Or just easing one out with fingers.

I wish I could afford a complete box to have this issue. So I tend to let all of you lot remove them from the box and sell me 3's or 5's. No issue for me then

There is a tool for opening boxes, I bought one in Majorca last year. You could use it for that too.

So the love with all the cabs and aging in cab is that based on the original cabs or just generally ages much better? I'm guessing this is a question for our my experience BOTL

I read somewhere that cigars age better in cabs because more of the tobacco is up against more tobacco. The other benefit being the cigars aren?t box pressed.

i buy that. The circulation of air in a cab is unquestionably going to be superior to a dress box,and I suspect this has a lot to do with steady maturing.

Oddly from some comments on different cigar groups etc, there are some real fans of box pressed smokes. I quite like them, but am also old enough to remember when buying un-banded sticks from 50cabs really was something a little special and there was a discernible quality difference.
