This is what happens when you mix grape and grain...
Only the impossible is worth the effort.

Alright, this months cigar was Cigar Aficionados No.3 cigar of the year 2015. The CAO Flathead V660 Carb.

As people pointed out, it's a full bodied cigar, but without any pepper notes and lots of sweetness. I had this one a number of times, and being a fan of long smokes, this is a go to cigar for me on most occasions.

There is also a lancero format from this series, which I tried once, but it wasn't as sweet and smooth as this large fella. There's also an even larger 7x70 and a robusto format, which I haven't tried.

Hope you enjoyed it and next time I will do a CC, promised...

Nice one! This would never have made it onto my radar because of its size. But am looking forward to trying it one sunny day! [emoji106]

I missed out on this one, but do have a Flathead 554. Hopefully if will smoke as nicely as this one when I finally get round to it. Have heard this series works best when you punch rather than cut.

Didn't get round to these in the end but I have had one a couple of.years ago. Remember it being a really nice smoke. Ill enjoy these once the weather is decent.

Finally getting round to this one. Which is anything but round itself [emoji16] square cigar, flat cap.

Tasty, little spicy on the tongue. Lots of cool smoke. Great for practising smoke rings!

Huge ring gauge makes it too big to hold in the teeth. Easy draw, bit too easy.

Let's see what develops in the rest of the day... Good job I have a large ashtray! [emoji23]

Good! Started off a bit spicy and bland. Smoothed out and built up nicely. Last third sweetened was Def best part. ... And then I got called away [emoji849]

Too big though. Spent two hours on it.

                    Thanks for hosting [emoji106]

True, I never put my teeth on a cigar, maybe that's why I like larger cigars.

I am surprised that it started bland, but the developing sweetness is what I appreciate in these.

Next COTM will be a smaller format, promised...
