I can't find the Threat from back then but I remember somebody was asking about air Purification to smoke indoors.

I came across this on YouTube, looks fantastic might be worth giving a try.

It gets great reviews on the interwebs, but man is it expensive! I?d also like to know the cost of the filters (HEPA filters can be expensive) and how often they need to be changed.

But from what I?ve read, it does the job on cigar smoke.

I'd like to see a review from a real world tester; I have no doubt that this would purify the air, but I would be surprised if it removed the odour of stale smoke if one was to smoke indoors on a regular basis. Happy to be proved wrong though!

Cost would cover building a shed!

Maybe if you sat right next to it hold your cigar and gently blew all your smoke into one of the inlets!

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

There has to be an alternative that works as well and is cheaper

As long as the outdoor heating is good enough, all you need is shelter...

Having watched his video he?s had a pretty good go at it albeit without the fresh air and heat recovery element. To get a perfect setup, indoors it unfortunately would cost a lot (I work in interior fit-out so have a fairly good grasp on what?s needed). In short, extract with heat recovery and fresh air through the heat recovery system. That way you get the smoke out and nice fresh warm air back in. Would work best if it was an isolated room with a negative pressure to ensure no smoke travels elsewhere. HVAC a whole new world of expense, especially in the UK and a pain in the arse to retrofit. If I had the money though that?s the route I?d go. No I wonder if any of the subbies we use would do a deal...[emoji23]

You'd also come up with the pencil as a solution for writing in zero gravity
                        Simple and works.

Having said that there's nothing wrong with chaps coming up with more technical based solutions as who doesn't like that feeling of engineering creativity .

I think I will pass on the overhead canopy but it did make me laugh . I?m sure there must be an air purifier that works as well as rabbit air but doesn?t involve a kings ransom

Well, the simplest things do work the best most of the time. If an open window and a scented candle doesn't do the trick for someone nothing else will probably do it. Just stick to outdoor smoking then.

It does the trick for me, but I'm not bothered if a little scent remains after smoking a cigar.

For what its worth here's my sixpence worth. In the cabin I have an extractor fan on whilst I smoke with a couple of little fans to keep the air circulating. When I've finished I light a wax melt burner with an eight hour tea light under it and leave the fans on for an extra hour. This will clear all the smoke but the cabin will still smell. If its damp out and the cabin humidity is high then I use a free standing dehumidifier, not some crappy desktop thing but a three foot high mains powered unit which has a silver ioniser in it. That clears the smoke smell completely and leaves the cabin smelling faintly metallic. It won't work is you have soft furnishing or curtains which will hold onto the smoke particles. That's why cigar lounges have leather chairs.
