I tried that X cut on an 80RG stick once, it felt like I was kissing it

I've had hit an missed with the vcut...might just need to invest in a good quality one rather than a cheap colbri...but I do like it's a shallow cut rather than a deep cut I generally see.

I’ve only ever tried straight cut, maybe I should see what I’m missing out on.

I used a v cut on a Partagas D4 yesterday, first time I have ever used that cut and certainly won’t be the last.

Felt like I got a much more even burn.

And for all you youngsters who recently joined the club, “RG” means “Ring Guage.” And the “Ring Guange” is the diameter of the stick...or is that circumference?

                  Let’s just call it THICKNESS!

I've started using v-cuts now and am quite enjoying it, though it does depend on the stick I go for

I use a colibri v cutter on the majority of my cigars the exception being smaller RG sticks and then I will use the Cuban Crafters perfect cutter.

I am favouring the punch more and more these days... despite a nice xikar cuter that has retained a good edge I find that I am just better with a punch than a cross blades scissor cutter. I do like a nice broad cut though so will use both... with the exception of a piramides
