As winter is upon us, I'm expecting my pipes to get far more use. I favour a straight pipe, the Savinelli 128 is a great example IMO, though I'd love to get my hands on a 320 soon.

          Old acquaintance new friends.....

This pipe smoking has really taken a hold, and is a great way to give your cigars a rest and I have managed to reacquaint myself with old friends - have added to the rotation with two pipes a Savinelli Smooth Rustic & a Mastro de Paja

My favourite is, or was, my Now defunct meerschaum. I loved the shape, curved, the depth, the whole experience. It is no more...the old 'black dog' had a nip, and well, that's that. Years ago.

Never smoked a Churchwarden. Given my position perhaps I ought to... Any recommendations for a nice one?

I went for a very modern take on a church warden - Sailor Pipe by Erik Nording comes with both short and long stems
