Has the mitre joint on the outside opened up as well? I can't see if the lid is one piece or lined with cedar. If it is one piece and the joint has opened up right the way through then I'd try and get some pva wood glue into the joint and then clamp it together. If you don't have any clamps then you might be able to hold the joints together with good quality masking tape pulled tight around the whole lid. allow to dry overnight.

also it looks to me as if it has been caused by the lid being opened too far, so if you do manage to repair it take care when opening the lid.

if you don't have clamps and masking tape isn't strong enough, you could make a spanish windlass like this:

Hey Steve...no the lining and the lid are separate...but looks like one side of the seal has just broken away.

Is PVA glue ok? Ie smell in the wood.

Also if I glue the seal together It looks like there could be a slight gap behind the seal and lid. Not sure if that always been there...I'll get some photos tonight show what I mean.

PVA glue will be fine for gluing it up, there shouldn't be any problem of smell once the glue is cured. If you can take a few more photos that might help me make some suggestions.

                    Does these help

The last photo is where I've pushed the seal wood to the lid.

Ok. For the lid to seal the cedar lining needs to fit tightly to the bottom inside of the humidor. From the last photo it would appear that doing this will leave a gap in the mitre. To fill this I would suggest gluing small pieces of cedar in the gap - use some thin pieces of cedar that some cigars are wrapped in. Then when dry sand smooth.

Ok....I thought I fixed the seal...but looks like I haven't or I got some other issue.

I try take some photos and see if anyone can help trouble shoot what's the issue.

When I tried to fix the seal...I decided to up my boveda packs to 69 and the humi held at 69/70 which worked well...but for me it's a bit to wet...however when I move down to 65...the humi holds at 62 or lower.

I don't know if it's the seal or the boveda packs so added some fresh ones and still get 62 humidity.

So kinda lost what could be the issue.

Is it the seal or the boveda?

Try putting your bovedas and hygrometer in a ziploc bag for a day or two and see what the reading is. Fwiw, my desktop stays around 67% with 3 72% bovedas.

A lower RH means less a looser seal as there is less moisture in the ceder, so the difference between the RH on the Boveda pack and what you get will be bigger. You could try adding another 65%.
