Nice bit of kit..are they still selling b stock?
Oh I see, I have used Boveda humidifaction packs in the past however with my Germanus Cube it involved using multiple packs to get a consistent humidification from top to bottom. With this Klarstien being bigger I thought I would go a little overkill. The Cigar Oasis is rated at 1000x cigar and would give perfect humidification all over.

Unfortunately I snagged the last one, however this is what I got:

How do you mean? Boveda Butler is just a bluetooth humidification monitor.
Just a little word of advice, 70%is too wet, I'd aim for 60/62 upto 65 max, better for smoking and the lower end better for aging.

I haven't used a cigar oasis but I use a boveda in my large scuba and wineador. because it's plastic I've only got about 4 or 5 packs in there and seem to hold steady and hardly recharge them...maybe once every 4/ 5 months.

I have always understood it as 62-65% for Cubans and 68-70% for new world.

I think I might drop somewhere in between as I have a bunch of new world but a box of Monte 2's on the way!

I tend to keep both my Cuban and NC the same averaging around 65%

Under two recommendations and further reading, I have lowered the humidty on the Cigar oasis to 65%. It will take a while to come down but I will try that out!

I have ordered a box of Monte 2's and already eyeing up a box of Ashton Symmetries! I feel the ground beneath me already starting to slide :P

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the Oasis only add humidity? What happens if it gets too high?

It sounds an alarm, so you open the door to check and let some of the air out. And voila the humidity is lowered until the alarm goes off again [emoji23]

I'm assuming that because the Klarstein is cooled so it will loose humidity over time, the Cigar oasis should just add it back.

I have turned it down a couple hours ago and im already at 69%!

And if the external humidity is higher than the internal then you're cattle trucked

Get a room humidity/temp sensor with alarm in the room......I can just imagine the scene now

Bear in mind as you add boxes and singles to the humidor the rh will drop slightly, as they will absorb some moisture in most scenarios, unless they already were stored very wet to start with

So what your saying is, I need to buy boxes of cigars to make sure the humidity doesn't get too high and the sensor goes off. Say no more!
