  • Sofia - Bulgaria

I will be in Sofia for work at the end of the month. Does anybody know how prices are in BG and where to go for a good selection? There seem to be two LCDHs in town, but also a bunch of other traders. Any information would be appreciated.

I think the LCDHs in Bulgaria are all www.KalimanCaribe.com
I visited two stores when on holiday a few years back. If you're lucky they might be able to source you some Bolivar 681s, I had several boxes delivered within a couple of days, very helpful staff

I was in Sofia last mon on a one day trip to raid the city and to look for Trini Topes - so nothing left
No, Joke aside, there are two LCDH's in the city, at the formerly Radisson hotel and at the Mall of Sofia + one at the airport (terminal 2).
I think prices are fine - check out prices beforehand on http://www.kalimancaribe.com/en/category/ - it should be so that what you find on their pages should be available - but no guarantees.
The two LCDH's are TINY, so you won't find big walk in humidors to browse forever. I brought home Topes, RA Adriatico, Punch Regios and some Bolivar RE i believe.
If I were you, I'd call the Formerly Raddison LCDH or maybe the Airport LCDH a week or two before and hear what they have. They are very helpful and might stock up something for you or you can order for pickup.Find numbers on Kaliman webpages.
When I left I had some more Topes from the airport, but since i left from terminal 1, I could not go to the LCDH. No worry, the lady brought them down in front of the Terminal along with the CC machine. Is that service or what?
      Have a great trip.

I ended up going to the LCDH at the hotel. The selection is rather limited for a Casa, but they had some nice sticks. Prices are the same as in Germany and they had some Balkan limited editions.

On my way out I also stoped at the LCDH at the airport. Similar selection, though the lady showing me around was very suspicious of me and didn't like me touch stuff...

Ended up buying a box of 10 Upmann Magnum 50 from 2015, a box of those Hoyo figuardos (yum) and a box of Diplomaticos. Might split the Diplomaticos if anyone's interested.

I'll try to take some pictures, took all the cigars out of the boxes, as some water leaked into the bag... the cigars were fine, but the boxes were wet... so the money shots will be a bit underwhelming...
