Only the impossible is worth the effort.

MLW, who I tell often is lovely and doesn't need all these expensive treatments, also does hair and some skin treatments that means I have to stop .. well slow down .. my cigar buying.

I don't dare sum everything she's spending on this however... [emoji848]

No, just fighting what she sees as the ravages of time ffs. She's 56 and looks 40 and I've had 34 years of people saying 'Is that your wife?!' because she looks so good. Anyway she works full-time and its her money so who am i to quibble?

Anything our lovely ladies spend on their appearance is of course for our benefit too, whereas our cigar habit is totally selfish, unless you are lucky enough to have one that appreciates the aroma of a fine cigar - unfortunately my wife isn't one of the them.

Oh I don't know Simon. Cigars are my meditation therapy. Which I say helps everyone around me. Home and work!

Exactly, sometimes she will tell me to go and have a cigar if I appear to be stressed or grumpy grumpy_pickaxe.gif

And if this means I have more disposable income ... well ..

I think it?s a sign of the times unfortunately. The practice MLW works at does Botox and fillers as well as dentistry and she makes the most of mates rates. Came home yesterday and she?s moaning that her lips hurt and look like sausages. Thankfully the swelling is already subsiding and she?s looking normal again.

She doesn?t need it in any way shape or form, but they don?t listen... a bit like me and cigars then!
