  • Partagas Serie D No.4 Robusto

I paid around ?5 in Cuba, these are about ?20 in the UK. I had this one about a month ago so the review might be a bit short as it is from memory.
This is probably the most full on cigar I have smoked. Has an oily texture. The flavour is very woody, cedary and peppery. Typical Partagas nutmeg\cinammon. A bit of coffee and dark chocolate as well. Held about a maximum of an inch of ash at a time, a few touch ups, but no relights and an even burn. A great cigar.

[emoji106]Lovely sticks the D4. If you enjoyed it then try the slightly shorter format D5.

My favourite robusto to date. Have some aged tubos and a ‘14 box picked up in Gibraltar.

I’ve never had any of the other Partagas though, which is something I should try to address.

            Thanks for the review.

The D5 is one of my absolute favourites. I find it has a more woody taste compared to the D4 which I find has more of a leathery note.
I also have some D6 in the humidor which I haven't tried yet.

Yes these smokes are definitely one of my favourites......I blame/congratulate the D4 Robusto, for getting me started again on cigars after a 4 year hiatus
