Just picked up a RyJ Churchill tubos at bristol airport. My flight has been delayed for a few hours, so i wanted to treat myself.

Poor choice in the "humidor", especially those available to "all" passengers i.e not duty free. RH appears to be between 65 - 70% not sure how accurate the hygrometer is.

I picked the RyJ Churchill as it is going to be a ceremonial victory cigar as im hoping a work project is coming to an end this week which will be a small win for me.

Ive never smoked such a large cigar before. Im guessing im going to need a few hours. Will i get a massive tobacco hit from this?

Allow yourself two hours, don't rush, have a sweet drink to hand and stay hydrated, you'll be fine.

Alcohol converts back to sugar [emoji16] so you're good.

Good choice Bunny. Just don’t smoke it too fast and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it rather than be knocked for six.

I was pleasantly surprised by the RYJ Churchill, not normally a fan of RYJ as they are very light to mild for me but it did pack loads of flavour and not a really strong nicotine hit so a very pleasant smoke.

I paired with a creamy coffee and it went great.

For nicotine head rushes I normally have a piece of dark chocolate and that seems to fix it for me.

My first churchill was a R&J & indeed it's good to remmeber just how big it looked to me & my mate back then. We were used to PC's & Robusto's so when I picked up a couple of tubed churchills in Spain & brought them back for us to try.
They lasted us an hour & half+ but we managed without a break & as mentioned above the R&J isn't going to give you a bit hit but I'd rcommend having after a dinner with a nice steak of heavy meat dish, enjoy with a Belgian beer or whisky/rum & make sure you won't be interupted; nothing worse than rushing the last third!
