    Depends on the cigar - if I suspect the draw may be a little loose I start with a punch, but general go-to is a straight cut.

    I have a v-cutter, but its the one I use least.

    Sounds like you need a bigger punch, amigo.

    Or try using the Figure-Eight punch pattern...or even the Clover pattern, as once demonstrated by a formerly active member known as Seņor @cj121.

    Yea I need to get a new sharper one so I can do that cuts ..

    Still using a cheap one and it just doesn't work well with it

    I’ve tried in the past using cheaper punch cutters, and resigned myself to the fact you get what you pay for....ended up getting a Xikar bullet punch, worth the money as it’s razor sharp

    Straight cut everything. If the RG is too big I don't enjoy the smoke! Have had to resort to punch only a couple of times.
