2017 Seems a Stellar Year

Have been back into Cuban Cigars in a relatively significant way for the last few years.

i thought 2016 production was pretty good - great construction overall and the average tobacco more than good; bought a lot of Mag 46, PLPCs and Monte 2s

Am now enjoying recent arrivals, mostly from 2017 - HDM, Vegas Robaina, RA, D4, R&J Cazadores, Mag 46s etc All have been outstanding .... much better than 2016 vintage ! ( except a box of RASCC AND a 15 pack of 46s - a little underwhelming in the flavour / development deoartmment )

What is the general consensus on how the 2017 / 2018 offerings are presenting in comparison to years immediately prior ?

Interesting observation Mr Brown. I can't really comment as I haven't smoked more than a handful of cigars from these years but it's reassuring to know the ones I have bought & have laid down, may indeed be worth the wait. Sure other members will give their opinions of these modern vintages.

I haven?t had a lot of 16 and 17 cigars except for a few REs and LEs to sample. I think that the only 16 cigar I smoke on a regular basis is the HUHC and they have been very good.

I've bought a number of 16 and 17 boxes most of which are resting at the moment. I tend to try one or two so I know what to expect down the line. They have in general been very good in fact I'm working my may through a RyJ Capuletos LE 2016 this evening and I must say it very much to my taste, only got another half box as it was a split with a friend.
