• Preferred Ring Gauge

Mine: 46 ....

The Corona Gorda size sits so comfortably well for me, in mouth and hand.

H Upmann Magnum 46, Ramon Allones Superiores are staples and have recently discovered Juan Lopez #1

48 ring gauge is next closest in preference, with VR Famosos being the standout.

Robustos ( 50 ring ) is o.k. .... 52 ring is getting too big, however I am continually making exception for Monte Edmundo.

Likewise 46. My favourite smokes are and I find it a comfortable size too.

Hello all,

This is a difficult matter, every vitola has it's moment, not only weather, place, time to smoke it or company affects it but other variables as what is going to be pair with or type of lunch.

This said, this has changed during years,
For a motorcycle event the Piramides 52x6 aprox has been for years my favourite, then I changed to 50x5 robustos and 48x5 ( Hermosos N4) and now it is probably the mareva and corona what I am enjoying more, probably because the way is blended. More streangh, ammount of smoke and I smoke slower.
My 3 favourites cigars because of taste are RASS ( Ramon Allones 50x124 or 4.9''), 898 (Partagas Dalia43x170) and Don Alejandros( Vegas Robaina).
My favourite vitola because of how it looks its the Lancero 38x192, so elegant.
But the list is long, very long. I may be a litte bit , who knows.

Petit corona mainly, especially Monte 4 and Boli pc. However, from 40 to 52 is ok for me and 6 inch max normally

Don't get your hopes up... That's not PeeJay

I like Lancero, pc up to Robusto. Beyond that I feel like too fat. I think the biggest I've smoked is a 56rg. No wait! COTM flathead v660!

So what's that, like 36 up to 50. Then up to 56 ok ... but no more!

I will smoke pretty much anything once. Ive even had the 80 rg from asylum. Ive actually got a couple left. Pretty bland smoke but good at a bbq.

Lusi next to it for comparison

Most of favourites sit between 42-46. Marevas, Coronas, Corona Gordas and my absolute favourite the Lonsdale. There are some fantastic vitolas missing from this range however and I smoke up to 56 if the smoke is good enough but generally above 50 is getting towards being too big.

Yep bang on my fave gauge and actually my favourite vitola. Corona Gorda is perfect. I don't mind a short robusto but find the sizes just getting ridiculous these days, unfortunately. Just don't find you get the flavour profiles with the bigger sticks.

38-42 for me. My favourite sizes, petite corona and lancero type cigars are in that range.
