    Sick Period ?

Do you think all cigars suffer sickness within their 1st 12 months of boxing ?

1990ish panatella. Bit tight on the draw. But very smooth and lovely aroma.

                Sunday 7th September

So got a few Atabeys for Banos and a couple for myself too. Gotta try this mythical cigar. This is the Spirit Lancero. Construction is impeccable as is the draw.

                Initial taste is great.
There?s been lots of talk about this being the closest you will get to a Cuban, I?d say it?s THE closest NC that I?ve ever tasted definitely, if it was a blinded cigar I could probably guess Cuba, I don?t know.
It?s not at all like any Cuban lancero, Cohiba og fundy?s at all, if I could compare to something taste wise I?d say P898.
                Update:

As I said before, if blinded, it would probably have me fooled as a Cuban, but that's based on my meagre experience of about 200 Cuban cigars. It has a very different tobacco taste from anything i've ever tasted, and there is some resemblance to Cuba but very hard to finger, really. Maybe it's just because it's so different from any other NC i've smoked.

I said 898 in the initial inch, but that goes away and is no longer there as you go further in. It's far away from a Laguito no 1 (Lancero, Especiales, Fundadores). I'd call it medium to full and quite strong on the nicotine. It is a slow smoker with no tendency to go out and with a perfect burn line all the way to the nub

Okay, so here's the final verdict: A very good cigar. Would I buy some more? Probably yes, but i think the Bespoke Caf? Lancero is as good (albeit very different) and about half price.

Nice. If you plan on getting any more let me know. I would be up for a split.

Only been out for a year or so i believe. They are very limited and not really sold online in many places so unless you shop in an american b and m you arent going to see them.

Please elaborate PeeJay, - this is my first and I think it was mentioned once in here so I got a few back from the US mainly because Banos asked.

Until I saw these being mentioned on a couple of US Facebook groups recently I had never heard of them and then all of a sudden we're talking about them too.

This wasn?t boxed. It was a custom rolled BHK52 clone. Rolled by an El Laguito roller if I believe what I am told.

It was as it happens an exceptionally well rolled stick with exceptionally good flavours- so much so that I didn?t stop puffing on it as I chased along behind a quad.... fat man with cigar, running in wellies around a wood!! Funny sight!!

Anyway, if you google ?sick period? and ?cigar? or look it up in the forum, you will get far better answers than I can offer straight off the bat. [emoji106]
