  • Monday's Budget?

    Afternoon All,

With the Chancellor likely to raise the duty on tobacco products on Monday, is anyone taking this opportunity to stock up on anything? I would assume that most members here have 'other' preferred vendors without this having too much of an impact, but still not great news for cigar and pipe smokers.

Other than when I go to a lounge and have to buy something to smoke in there, I don't remember the last time I bought anything in the UK, so no.

I was priced out in the UK a long time ago. I only smoke what I can bring back from holiday or the very odd lounge visit.

            cigars - an extra 17p per 10g

So a medium cigar weighs in at 10g-20g so on a box so thats +?5-?10 per box. Also Mitch's blog he suggests folks will use this as an opportunity to put their prices up too. I guess above this increase?

            Not that it matters.
