  • Belgian prices

    Evening all,

I'm off to Bruges in a few weeks time and am looking to bring back a few sticks - probably not boxes but a selection of singles and or special things if I can find any.

I know there are three shops worth a visit (I think)
    - Missault
    - La casa del tabac
    - Jerrys Bar

But my main question is are belgian prices fixed or can they vary - I probably won't be able to go to all 3 shops so looking to get to the best one or two while im there.

    Dave

About 1/3 cheaper than U.K. RASS is €10.70 for example and prices are fixed by the government.

I went to Missault last year. Not a huge selection and prices weren't as good as I had hoped. Christophe and his father are very helpful however. Guess I have been spoilt by buying from Gesto's in Geneva.

a third cheaper than UK is still a third cheaper, i'm unlikely to buy boxes unless I see something really worth getting, might pick up some 3 or 5's, but probably just pick up pairs of some things that i've not had before.

I will just have to nip into all the shops and see whats what - the la casa del tabac seems to have a big store so hoping some good stock there.

I think i'd like some Belgian regionals if there any knocking around

i have been to jerrys it wasn't bad. a reasonable selection and you must sit in the square with a beer and a stick!

Oh and get your beer from the deli haze, much much cheaper than the tourist beer shops

Hi Guys, just back from our hols in the Caribbean & opened this site for the fist time since leaving (internet too expensive to check whilst away). I can confirm prives fixed by the Government over here so no price chasing (it's all about fixing the tax, hence, their cigars come with a Tax Band.
In Brugge, I would personally recommend Missault; Christophe Bonne & his father Peter, are excellent chaps & Christoph is a C.A. in his own right & has a fantastic collection of his own. I haven't been down there lately so can't give a list of what's in stock but to save time when travelling & to reserve items you're after, contact Christophe on his Facebook page.
