A choice...

Hi everyone, so I can get a box of 10 LCDH H Upmann Royal Robustos, or a box of 10 LCDC RyJ Cedros De Lux for a tenner more. Which would you recommend? I haven't tried either. As tempted as I am to get both, I can't.

I have yet to smoke a RyJ that I liked and I have yet to smoke an Upmann that I didn't like. So... Go for the Upmanns...

(That is assuming you buy them for me as a gift... )

I like the original cedros line but the lcdh did nothing for me. The royal robustos are stellar.

I've liked all the RyJs I've had... but I'm new to this so that's not saying much.

If it was me in the same position i would go for the Upmanns they are such a solid line of smokes,rarely disappoint. The RyJs can be a bit hit and miss (never tried the mentioned vitola though) but in my opinion one of the best Robustos you can buy(i know its a hermosos no 4)is the RyJ exhibition no4 i have never had a bad one,unlike the more popular short Churchill which is seriously hit and miss

I'm pretty sure that you'll like them. It's hard to go wrong with HU and the RR deserves a place in every smokers stash. They are usually not too expensive so why not get two boxes? That way you can bury one at the end of your humi, you'll be rewarded in a few years since they will develop into stellar smokes.

One of the best in the LCDH line is the Ramon Allones Superiores. Well worth trying. The Bolivar Libertadores too.

Today, we finished our Christmas shopping and I felt like I needed a treat ....

Considered just about every box in my
humidors and chose a H Upmann Petite Corona; so very glad I did.

Absolutely delightful !



Although every stick from this 2016 box have been smooth and flavoursome with a medium body, this particular stick may very well be ‘cigar of the box’.

As already mentioned, Upmanns seldom fail to deliver, particularly when compared to R&Js ....

Edit: just went to re-order another box of HUPCs and they're gone !
