  • Question of the day:....

Recently saw the new SP Don Quixote ER BLUX in a tasting note referred to as ?Baby Joffrey?.
I bet someone within this collectibly vast forum can elaborate on what a ?Joffrey? then is?

He was the evil Lanister son of Circe and her brother who became king

So it tastes of incest, with an unpredictable temperament, and for all he claims to be a king, he will forever be a snot nosed brat doomed to slurp his final glug of wine...

You didn't read Game of Thrones Henrik? The three first books are definitely worth their while.

                  Wow that was quick
Saw them all on HBO - Never read books though. And anxiously awaiting the finale in April.

Is is that it? No actual relation to some “famous” roll of ancient day to whom all cigar aficionados bow in awe?

If 'Baby Joffree' was meant to mean pretentious & disappointing, the author might have a point. Great looking cigar, well constructed & not under filled like the Hoyo Romeo but on the crucial question of flav, for me it was disappointing & minimal. Just tried one New Year's Eve & won't bother buying more for myself but it's possible there may be some left when I return home in Feb if anyone else is interested. To be fair I find most SP's as flav neutral as this one so if you do like SP's, you should try it yourself.

The Joffrey is a Cuaba 20th anniversary humidor release. Not much info on this one https://www.google.com/amp/s/halfwhe...ion/112406/amp
Its a strong and complexed cigar (smoked one on Xmas Eve)
Not tried the new Sancho Panza release yet but love the shape and I'm guessing the OP of the comment is saying it's similar

NICE! That’s what I like about this forum, there’s always someone with insight!
Where is the reference to or why the name Joffrey?

I recently picked up two of these sticks. I did buy them based purely on the looks, they are a very good looking cigar in my opinion.

Going on what others have said above, I also find SP a bit on the lacking of flavour and bland side but still very enjoyable and easy going. Something to smoke when I don't want to have to think to much about the flavours but want something pleasantly enjoyable.

I have stashed them away for now but in a few months i'll give on a go.

It would be interesting to see if anyone else tries one in the coming months
